The custom process

Clarity at every important decision.

  1. 01

    Begin with what you have

Bring a stone, an old piece, reference images, a sketch, or simply the feeling you want the finished jewelry to hold.

  2. 02

    Define the direction

Discuss proportion, metal, gemstones, budget, timing, and the details that will make the piece feel like yours.

  3. 03

    See before committing

Use sketches, rendering, CAD, or the online design aid when a visual checkpoint will make the decision clearer.

  4. 04

    Craft and refine

Move into production only after the important design decisions feel resolved.

Common questions

Start wherever you are.

Can I bring my own diamond or gemstone?

Yes. Shari works with loose stones, inherited jewelry, and stones removed from pieces you no longer wear, as well as newly sourced materials.

Do I need to arrive with a finished design?

No. A photograph, a rough idea, or a description of the person and occasion can be enough to begin.

Can New Jersey clients work with Shari?

Yes. The studio is in New York City and serves clients from both New York and New Jersey by appointment.

How are budget and timing handled?

They are discussed at the beginning so the design direction, materials, and process can be shaped around practical expectations.
