Can I bring my own diamond or gemstone?
Yes. Shari works with loose stones, inherited jewelry, and stones removed from pieces you no longer wear, as well as newly sourced materials.
Do I need to arrive with a finished design?
No. A photograph, a rough idea, or a description of the person and occasion can be enough to begin.
Can New Jersey clients work with Shari?
Yes. The studio is in New York City and serves clients from both New York and New Jersey by appointment.
How are budget and timing handled?
Tell Shari the budget you want to work within at the start. She helps you explore the tradeoffs in stones, metals, and settings, then confirms pricing and timing before the piece is made.
Can I explore an idea before an appointment?
Yes. In the online design studio, add optional reference photos and describe your idea. Explore the four views, ask for changes, and send your chosen concept and notes to Shari. You can also simply contact her to talk through it.
Is an AI concept the final design?
No. It helps communicate the look you want. Shari reviews the actual stones, dimensions, support, and construction before confirming what can be made and what it will cost.
Do I need an appointment?
Yes. Shari works by appointment only so there is time to discuss your piece one-on-one.
